DMSO is not considered reactive towards any polypropylene vial product.
Still, one should always be aware of the possibility when using DMSO with laboratory plastic that under some conditions, extractables from the plastic could result and show up as ghost peaks in the HPLC runs.
There are many factors that can affect the likelihood of extractables forming, which may include temperature, storage time, and concentration of the DMSO (e.g. neat, 50% DMSO/ 50% DI water, etc.). The more concentrated any organic solvent is when used with plastic, the more likely it is to adversely affect the plastic compared to using a dilute concentration of the solvent such as 50% water.
It is recommended that you test the solvent/solution you are using with the vials before adding your samples.
