The longevity of filter material is influenced by the nature and quantity of substances undergoing filtration. Due to the extensive diversity of solvents—including reverse-phase solvents, normal-phase solvents, and various buffers with differing concentrations—establishing a standardized lifespan for these filters would be difficult given the multitude of variables involved. Therefore, it is advisable to replace filters when their performance noticeably decreases, such as when the filtration process becomes slower than anticipated.
