Sealed packs of silanized vials can be stored indefinitely without any practical limitations. However, once the packaging is opened, the vials’ surfaces become susceptible to particle adsorption.

This is particularly true for particles from cardboard packaging or the surrounding air. The silanized surface of the vials tends to attract and hold these particles, which can render the vials unusable.
