TYPE-C™ silica is a modified high purity, based deactivated, type-B silica that produces a very stable and unique surface including not retaining water as all other silica  based HPLC columns do. The HPLC mechanisms that are possible on this stationary phase includes Reversed Phase RP, Normal Phase NP and Aqueous Normal Phase ANP.

This surface modification process was invented by Professor Joseph Pesek etal and is available through MicroSolv Technology Corporation.
