What would cause high background noise using a Cogent Diamond Hydride™ HPLC column?

One possible reason background noise would be high could be if something from the sample that was injected and was stuck on the column frits or on the stationary phase and it is slowly bleeding off. Another cause could be if harsh pH conditions were used.

Either of these can occur sometimes without the user knowing it especially if the instrument and column are shared and they are not flushed properly between uses.
