Snap top vials are autosampler vials designed for fast sample preparation and ease of use in chromatography workflows. This subcategory includes snap top vials primarily used in HPLC applications, particularly with non‑volatile solvents, where quick cap application and reliable sealing are required.

Snap top vials use a snap‑ring closure system that allows the cap to be pressed into place without threading or crimping. This design supports efficient sample handling while still providing a consistent seal suitable for routine analytical methods. Snap top vials are generally not recommended for most GC applications, where higher temperatures or extended sealing integrity may be required.
