Achieve optimal seals when crimping caps on vials - How to

It is important to understand that "crimping" a cap could result in an inadequate seal if not done properly.

Follow the steps shown below to achieve the best seal.

  1. You need a calibrated crimping tool This means that the chuck has to be adjusted approximately every 50 crimps with the adjusting tool it comes with.
  2. After each crimp, test the seal to make sure it does not spin on the vial.
  3. After each crimp, make sure the septa are not dimpled or concave.
  4. After each crimp, make sure that the aluminum cap is evenly bent under the serum finish vial
