Sometimes a ferrule will become jammed inside a column or elsewhere in the HPLC system. When this happens, don't worry! The ferrule can be removed using our specially designed ferrule removal tool.

The tool works due to the direction of the threads, which go the opposite way from that of a standard drill bit. This allows the ferrule to be extracted out from the fitting.

To use, push against the ferrule with the tool while turning in a counter-clockwise direction until it is removed. If pushing is not enough, you may need to give it a light tap with a hammer to get it to bore into the ferrule.
