How much pressure can the MicroSolv mobile phase bottles withstand without bursting - FAQ

The safety coated and non-coated bottles for HPLC mobile phase are not pressure rated and are not designed to be pressurized.

Normally the reservoir bottle stands above the HPLC system and gravity provides enough "pressure" or force for the HPLC mobile phase solvents to flow where it is intended to, if properly vented. A very low amount of pressurization (1-2 psi) will be okay in the safety coated bottles to pump liquid in and out of the bottles but not at higher pressure levels.

We do not recommend pressurizing these bottles, either coated or non-coated beyond low pressure levels.
