The most appropriate membrane type to use when filtering heparin containing samples is AQ™ brand regenerated cellulose (RC) syringe filter.

Heparin has strongly acidic sulfonate groups (negatively charged) that will bind with nylon filter membranes. PTFE is not suitable because of its hydrophobicity and passes water through it is is not possible.
