The principle mechanism of removal of the polyimide coating using the MicroSolv Window Maker™ is burning it off with measured heat and without using a flame.

By burning the polyimide at a predetermined temperature range, it can be easily removed by hand wiping the burn area with a gentle solvent such as water or acetone using a clean, non fibrous cloth or paper.
