No, RSA™ vials have not been discontinued.

These non-surface-treated, non coated, slightly hydrophilic borosilicate glass vials remain one of the most trusted and widely used options in the market. They are especially effective for compounds that tend to adsorb to silanol groups—such as basic drugs and other compounds — thanks to their unique ability to minimize adsorption without any surface treatment.

What about RSA-Pro™ vials?

RSA-Pro™ vials are now considered a custom order item and have been succeeded by the enhanced RSA-Pro X™ vials which are widley available at a lower cost.

Why switch to RSA-Pro X™?

RSA-Pro X™ vials offer all the benefits of RSA-Pro™, but with improved performance:

  • Enhanced resistance to adsorption for hydrophilic compounds like proteins, peptides, and other biologically active molecules
  • Greater durability in aqueous environments
  • Can be autoclaved and frozen to -80°C without compromising performance

Think of RSA-Pro X™ as a next-generation solution—an upgrade over RSA-Pro™ and traditional silanized vials or inserts.
