ARE-Applied Research ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene), commonly known by the trade name Tefzel™, tubing is manufactured from virgin ETFE resin without the use of processing additives. ETFE tubing is widely used in low-pressure laboratory fluid handling applications due to its excellent chemical resistance, low permeability, and mechanical durability. Compared to PTFE tubing, ETFE offers lower gas permeability while maintaining excellent compatibility with most laboratory solvents and reagents. ETFE is chemically inert except when used with certain halogenated compounds.
48510-20-1C allows laboratories and manufacturers to order a continuous length of natural translucent ETFE tubing with a 0.020 inch (0.50 mm) internal diameter and 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) outer diameter. The larger internal diameter provides greater flow capacity than 0.010 inch ID tubing while maintaining excellent chemical compatibility and low permeability.
