Cogent NP Diol™ HPLC Columns are designed for Normal Phase and HILIC separations of hydrophilic and polar compounds. Manufactured using ultra-high purity silica bonded with a short hydrocarbon ligand containing a terminal diol functional group, this stationary phase provides consistent retention and selectivity while offering improved robustness compared to unmodified silica. NP Diol™ is an excellent alternative for USP L20 methods and is widely used for both established methods and new method development.

82060-25P-4 is packed with 10 µm NP Diol™ particles in a 4.0 mm ID x 250 mm format with a 100Å pore size. The larger 10 µm particle size allows operation at higher flow rates while generating lower backpressure than smaller particle columns. The extended 250 mm column length provides maximum resolving power and increased peak capacity, making it ideal for complex separations, method optimization, and analytical applications requiring the highest level of chromatographic resolution.

The NP Diol™ stationary phase is non-end-capped and is frequently chosen as a replacement for unmodified silica columns due to its enhanced durability and broader solvent compatibility. While selectivity may differ slightly from bare silica, it provides excellent performance for hydrophilic and polar compounds in both HILIC and Normal Phase chromatography.
