Cogent NP Silica™ Process HPLC Columns are designed for large-scale purification, process chromatography, and production applications involving lipids, polar compounds, and hydrophilic analytes. Manufactured from ultra-high purity, low-metal-content 100 Å silica, this stationary phase is completely unmodified, providing the traditional selectivity associated with USP L3 classified silica. NP Silica™ is widely used when maximum silica activity is desired for normal-phase and HILIC purification methods.

82561-P50-100 is packed with 5 µm NP Silica™ particles in a 50 mm ID x 100 mm process-scale format. The 5 µm particle size supports high process flow rates while producing lower backpressure than smaller particle columns. The large internal diameter provides extremely high sample loading capacity, making this column ideal for large-scale purification, production chromatography, fraction collection, and process development.

The 50 mm ID x 100 mm format is well suited for process HILIC and normal-phase chromatography involving hydrophilic and polar compounds. Typical flow rates are approximately 80-140 mL/min depending on mobile phase composition, system pressure limitations, and application requirements. A specialized preparative or process HPLC system capable of high flow rates and large-volume sample loading is required for optimum performance.
