Cogent HPS Phenyl™ Preparative HPLC Columns are designed for high-capacity purification of aromatic and structurally related compounds using reversed-phase chromatography. Manufactured using a monofunctional four-carbon ligand with an attached phenyl group bonded to high-purity 120Å silica and fully end capped for excellent peak shape and reproducibility, this stationary phase provides unique aromatic selectivity through π-π interactions. HPS Phenyl™ is particularly effective for compounds that may be difficult to separate on conventional C18 phases and is widely used for purification and scale-up applications involving complex aromatic analytes.
75020-P150 is packed with 5 µm HPS Phenyl™ particles in a 21.2 mm ID x 150 mm preparative format. The 5 µm particle size provides excellent chromatographic efficiency with lower operating backpressure than smaller particles, while the 21.2 mm internal diameter delivers substantial sample loading capacity for preparative purification. The 150 mm column length provides enhanced resolution and peak capacity compared to shorter preparative columns, making it ideal for more demanding purification workflows.
