Cogent NP Amino™ Semi-Preparative HPLC Columns are designed for purification, method development, and scale-up of polar compounds using Normal Phase and HILIC chromatographic modes. Manufactured using world-class silica bonded with a three-carbon propyl ligand containing a terminal amino functional group, this stationary phase provides unique selectivity for negatively charged and highly polar analytes. NP Amino™ is widely used as an alternative for USP L8 methods and for new method development involving carbohydrates, organic acids, and other polar compounds.

68540-SP50 is packed with 5 µm NP Amino™ particles in a 10 mm ID x 50 mm semi-preparative format with a 100Å pore size. The 5 µm particle size delivers excellent chromatographic efficiency while supporting higher sample loading than analytical columns. The 10 mm internal diameter provides increased loading capacity for purification and method scale-up applications, while the short 50 mm column length is ideal for rapid separations, high-throughput workflows, and fast method development.

The NP Amino™ stationary phase is not end capped and is commonly used for compounds containing carboxylic acid functionalities, sugars, and other polar analytes that require Normal Phase or HILIC retention mechanisms. These columns are packed and shipped in Normal Phase solvents and are frequently selected for transferring analytical methods to semi-preparative purification workflows where speed and productivity are priorities.
