68540-P30-PG1-3 is packed with 5 µm NP Amino™ Wide Pore particles in a 30 mm ID x 10 mm guard cartridge format with a 300Å pore size. Manufactured using a three-carbon propyl ligand containing a terminal amino functional group bonded to the highest purity silica available, this stationary phase is not end capped and provides the same selectivity characteristics as Cogent NP Amino™ Wide Pore preparative columns. The 300Å pore structure improves accessibility for larger molecules, while the stainless steel cartridge construction and stainless steel frits provide durability for demanding preparative chromatography applications.

This guard cartridge is intended for use with 30 mm ID Cogent NP Amino™ Wide Pore preparative columns used in Normal Phase and HILIC chromatography. It is particularly useful for protecting columns used for purification of complex sugars, larger compounds containing carboxylic acid functionalities, and other highly polar analytes.
