68540-P30-PG1 is packed with 5 µm NP Amino™ particles in a 30 mm ID x 10 mm guard cartridge format with a 100Å pore size. Manufactured using a three-carbon propyl ligand containing a terminal amino functional group bonded to high-purity silica, this stationary phase is not end capped and provides the same selectivity characteristics as Cogent NP Amino™ preparative columns. The stainless steel cartridge construction includes stainless steel frits for durability and reliable operation in demanding preparative chromatography applications.

This guard cartridge is intended for use with 30 mm ID Cogent NP Amino™ preparative columns used in Normal Phase and HILIC chromatography. It is particularly useful for protecting columns used for purification of sugars, compounds containing carboxylic acid functionalities, and other highly polar analytes. Routine replacement of the guard cartridge can help extend preparative column life while maintaining chromatographic efficiency and reproducibility.
