68540-P21-PG1-3 is packed with 5 µm NP Amino™ Wide Pore particles in a 21.2 mm ID x 10 mm guard cartridge format with a 300Å pore size. Manufactured using a three-carbon propyl ligand with a terminal amino functional group bonded to the highest purity silica available, this stationary phase is not end capped and provides the same selectivity characteristics as corresponding NP Amino™ Wide Pore preparative columns. The 300Å pore structure improves accessibility for larger molecules, while the stainless steel cartridge construction and stainless steel frits provide durability for preparative applications.

This guard cartridge is intended for use with 21.2 mm ID Cogent NP Amino™ Wide Pore preparative columns used in Normal Phase and HILIC chromatography. It is particularly useful for protecting columns used for purification of complex sugars, larger compounds containing carboxylic acid functionalities, and other polar analytes.
