The SCX stationary phase utilizes sulfonic acid functional groups that maintain a permanent negative charge across a broad pH range, making it suitable for protecting ion exchange methods involving basic compounds, amines, peptides, pharmaceuticals, and other positively charged analytes.

67586-PG2 is a guard column cartridge packed with 5 µm IEX SCX particles with a 100 Å pore size in a 4.0 mm ID x 10 mm length format. Designed specifically for use with 4.6 mm ID analytical columns, this guard cartridge provides an effective first line of defense against sample contaminants while maintaining chromatographic compatibility with SCX analytical methods. Each package contains five individually cased guard column cartridges for convenient storage and handling.
