Each insert features a mandrel‑formed precision conical tip that concentrates the sample at the bottom for efficient recovery and reliable needle access. Residual volume is approximately 5 µL with most autosamplers. The unique 6 mm top flange suspends the insert from the vial opening, centering it at the top rather than the bottom and allowing direct sealing against the cap septa.

This flange‑suspension design eliminates the need for springs when used with AQ Brand 9 mm screw thread autosampler vials, simplifying handling while improving sealing consistency and alignment. The design can also be used with some 11 mm snap top vials, offering standard performance flexibility.
