The 9502C‑E‑30CX Soft‑Guard™ Snap Caps combine advanced Soft‑Guard™ silicone formulation with an X‑shape pre‑slit septa design. The Soft‑Guard™ material reduces needle penetration force while maintaining improved resealing compared to standard septa, helping extend instrument uptime and reduce missed injections.
The X‑shape pre‑slit creates a larger target area for the autosampler needle, allowing easier alignment and smoother penetration. This design is especially useful for systems such as Waters® Alliance and Acquity, where reduced resistance and precise needle entry are critical. However, as with all X‑slit septa, resealing performance is slightly reduced compared to single‑slit designs.
The bonded PTFE/silicone septa provide excellent chemical resistance and protect sample integrity in HPLC and LC‑MS workflows. The natural (transparent) polyethylene cap allows clear visual inspection and alignment while maintaining ease of use in both routine and high‑throughput laboratory environments.
