The 9502C‑E‑30BX Soft‑Guard™ Snap Caps combine advanced Soft‑Guard™ septa technology with an X‑shape pre‑slit design. The Soft‑Guard™ silicone formulation is engineered to reduce needle penetration force while maintaining strong resealing characteristics, helping extend instrument uptime and reduce missed injections.
The X‑shape pre‑slit configuration creates a larger needle strike zone, making penetration easier and improving alignment during injection—particularly beneficial for autosamplers such as Waters® Alliance and Acquity systems. While X‑slit septa improve ease of penetration, they provide slightly less resealing performance compared to single‑slit designs.
The bonded PTFE/silicone septa deliver excellent chemical resistance and sample protection across HPLC and LC‑MS workflows. The smooth blue polyethylene cap allows quick application and removal while supporting high‑throughput laboratory efficiency.
