Manufactured using ultra-high purity silica bonded with a three-carbon ligand containing a terminal cyano (CN) functional group, this non-endcapped stationary phase provides unique selectivity that often produces shorter retention times and faster column equilibration compared to unmodified silica columns.
82534-10P-2 is packed with 5 µm NP Cyano™ particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 2.1 mm ID x 100 mm format. This popular NP Cyano column combines the selectivity benefits of a cyano bonded phase with reduced solvent consumption. The 100 mm length provides an excellent balance of chromatographic resolution and analysis speed, making it well suited for both established methods and new method development.
The 2.1 mm ID x 100 mm format is well suited for normal-phase chromatography of polar compounds, pharmaceutical analysis, quality control testing, and method development. Typical flow rates are approximately 0.2-0.3 mL/min. Standard HPLC systems used with 2.1 mm ID columns must be capable of delivering stable and reproducible low flow rates for optimum chromatographic performance.
