Cogent NP Silica™ HPLC Columns are designed for the separation of hydrophilic and polar compounds using Normal Phase and HILIC chromatography modes. Manufactured from ultra-high purity, low metal content 100Å silica that is not chemically modified, this stationary phase provides the native silica selectivity required for many traditional Normal Phase and HILIC applications. NP Silica™ is widely used as an alternative for USP L3 methods and for new analytical methods requiring the unique retention characteristics of unbonded silica.

82361-25P is packed with 3 µm NP Silica™ particles in a 4.6 mm ID x 250 mm analytical format. The extended 250 mm column length provides maximum retention, chromatographic resolution, and peak capacity for demanding analytical separations. The 3 µm particle size delivers higher chromatographic efficiency and sharper peak shapes than comparable 5 µm columns, although increased operating backpressure should be expected. This format is ideal when the highest separation performance is required for complex mixtures and closely related compounds.

NP Silica™ is commonly used for hydrophilic and polar compounds in both HILIC and Normal Phase chromatography.
