HPLC Column, NP Silica, 3um, 2.1mm ID x 50mm Length, 100A. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.

Additional Information:

Cogent NP Silica™ HPLC Columns are designed for the separation of hydrophilic and polar compounds using Normal Phase and HILIC chromatography modes. Manufactured from ultra-high purity, low metal content 100Å silica that is not chemically modified, this stationary phase provides the native silica selectivity required for many traditional Normal Phase and HILIC applications. NP Silica™ is widely used as an alternative for USP L3 methods and for new analytical methods requiring the unique retention characteristics of unbonded silica.

82361-05P-2 is packed with 3 µm NP Silica™ particles in a 2.1 mm ID x 50 mm analytical format. The short 50 mm length is optimized for rapid analysis, method development, and reduced solvent consumption. The 3 µm particle size delivers higher chromatographic efficiency and sharper peak shapes than comparable 5 µm columns, although increased operating backpressure should be expected. The narrow-bore format minimizes mobile phase usage while maintaining excellent separation performance.

NP Silica™ is commonly used for hydrophilic and polar compounds in both HILIC and Normal Phase chromatography. Because the stationary phase is completely unmodified, it provides the classic selectivity associated with bare silica and is often selected for established USP methods, method transfer projects, and applications requiring strong polar interactions. The 2.1 mm ID format is ideal when minimizing solvent consumption is important, but the low-flow requirements should be considered during method development.
