HPLC Column, NP Diol, 3um, 2.1mm ID x 100mm Length, 100A. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.

Additional Information:

Cogent NP Diol™ HPLC Columns are designed for the separation of hydrophilic and polar compounds using Normal Phase and HILIC chromatography modes. Manufactured using high-purity 100Å silica bonded with a short hydrocarbon ligand containing a terminal diol functional group, this stationary phase is not end capped and provides versatile selectivity for compounds that may be difficult to retain using conventional reversed-phase chromatography. NP Diol™ is widely used as an alternative for USP L20 methods and for developing robust analytical methods requiring enhanced retention of polar analytes.

82360-10P-2 is packed with 3 µm NP Diol™ particles in a 2.1 mm ID x 100 mm analytical format. The narrow-bore design reduces solvent consumption while maintaining excellent chromatographic efficiency. The 3 µm particle size delivers higher efficiency and sharper peak shapes than comparable 5 µm columns, although increased operating pressure should be expected. The 100 mm column length provides an excellent balance between resolution and analysis speed, making it suitable for routine analytical workflows.

The NP Diol™ stationary phase is commonly selected for hydrophilic and polar compounds analyzed by HILIC and Normal Phase chromatography. It is frequently used as a replacement for unmodified silica columns because it offers improved robustness and broader solvent compatibility while maintaining useful selectivity for polar analytes. The 2.1 mm ID format is ideal when reduced solvent consumption and efficient separations are desired, but this chromatography mode is generally not preferred for LC-MS applications.
