HPLC Column, NP Amino, Wide Pore, 5um, 2.1mm ID x 150mm Length, 300A. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.

Additional Information:

Cogent NP Amino™ Wide Pore HPLC Columns are designed for Normal Phase and HILIC separations of larger polar compounds that require increased pore accessibility. Manufactured using ultra-high purity silica bonded with a three-carbon propyl linker and terminal amino functionality, this stationary phase provides the selectivity needed for retention and separation of complex sugars, larger organic acids, and other highly polar molecules. NP Amino™ Wide Pore is an excellent alternative for USP L8 methods involving larger analytes and for new method development requiring enhanced access to the stationary phase.

68540-15P-2-3M is packed with 5 µm NP Amino™ Wide Pore particles in a 2.1 mm ID x 150 mm format with a 300Å pore size. The large pore structure improves accessibility and mass transfer for larger molecules while maintaining the characteristic retention mechanisms of amino-based stationary phases. The narrow-bore 2.1 mm ID format reduces solvent consumption and typically operates at flow rates of approximately 0.2–0.3 mL/min. The HPLC system must be capable of delivering stable and accurate low-flow performance for optimum results.

The amino stationary phase is not end capped and performs well for complex sugars, larger compounds containing carboxylic acid groups, and other highly polar analytes using Normal Phase or HILIC chromatographic modes. The 300Å pore size enhances performance with larger molecules that may be partially excluded from smaller pore stationary phases. This popular narrow-bore format provides excellent separations for larger molecules while requiring a pump capable of precise low-flow delivery and a detector flow cell optimized for reduced flow rates and low internal volume.
