Cogent NP Amino™ HPLC Columns are designed for Normal Phase and HILIC separations of highly polar compounds. Manufactured using ultra-high purity silica bonded with a three-carbon propyl linker and terminal amino functionality, this stationary phase provides the selectivity needed for retention and separation of compounds that can be difficult to retain using traditional reversed-phase chromatography. NP Amino™ is an excellent alternative for USP L8 methods and for new method development involving polar analytes.
68540-10P is packed with 5 µm NP Amino™ particles in a 4.6 mm ID x 100 mm format with a 100Å pore size. The 5 µm particle size provides reliable performance with moderate backpressure while maintaining excellent reproducibility. The 100 mm column length offers an excellent balance between resolution and analysis speed, making it well suited for routine analytical methods, method development, and quality control applications.
The amino stationary phase is not end capped and is particularly useful for sugars, carbohydrates, organic acids, and other highly polar compounds containing hydroxyl or carboxylic acid functionalities. This column can be used in Normal Phase and HILIC chromatographic modes and is packed and shipped in normal-phase solvents. The 100 mm length provides enhanced retention and resolution compared to shorter columns while maintaining efficient analysis times.
