NP Amino™ Wide Pore is an excellent alternative for USP L8 methods involving larger analytes and for new method development requiring enhanced interaction with the stationary phase.
68540-05P-3M is packed with 5 µm NP Amino™ Wide Pore particles in a 4.6 mm ID x 50 mm format with a 300Å pore size. The large pore structure improves accessibility and mass transfer for larger molecules while maintaining the characteristic retention mechanisms of amino-based stationary phases. The short 50 mm column length is ideal for rapid analyses, method scouting, and high-throughput workflows that benefit from reduced run times and solvent consumption.
The amino stationary phase is not end capped and performs well for complex sugars, larger compounds containing carboxylic acid groups, and other highly polar analytes using Normal Phase or HILIC chromatographic modes. The 300Å pore size enhances performance with larger molecules that may be partially excluded from smaller pore stationary phases. These columns are frequently used for method scouting and are packed and shipped in normal-phase solvents.
