Cogent RP Cyano™ HPLC Columns are designed for reversed-phase separations of polar and neutral compounds where alternative selectivity to traditional alkyl-bonded phases is desired. Manufactured using ultra-high purity silica bonded with a three-carbon ligand and terminal Cyano functionality, this stationary phase provides unique chromatographic characteristics that make it an excellent choice for USP L10 methods and LC-MS applications. RP Cyano™ is often selected when shorter retention, rapid equilibration, and different selectivity than C18 columns are required.
68534-10P-2 is packed with 5 µm RP Cyano™ particles in a 2.1 mm ID x 100 mm format with a 100Å pore size. The 5 µm particle size provides low operating backpressure and excellent reproducibility for LC-MS compatible methods. The 2.1 mm ID format reduces solvent consumption while helping improve mass spectrometry sensitivity. Typical flow rates are approximately 0.2–0.3 mL/min, and the HPLC system must be capable of delivering stable and accurate low-flow performance.
The RP Cyano™ stationary phase is not end capped and is frequently used for analysis of polar and neutral compounds in reversed-phase HPLC and LC-MS applications.
