ARE-Applied Research ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene), commonly known by the trade name Tefzel™, tubing is manufactured from virgin ETFE resin without the use of processing additives. ETFE tubing is widely used in low-pressure laboratory fluid handling applications due to its excellent chemical resistance, low permeability, and mechanical durability. Compared to PTFE tubing, ETFE offers lower gas permeability while maintaining excellent compatibility with most laboratory solvents and reagents. ETFE is chemically inert except when used with certain halogenated compounds.
48555-65 is supplied as a convenient 5-meter roll of natural translucent ETFE tubing with a 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) internal diameter and 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) outer diameter.
