Yes, they can be used with Cogent TYPE-C™ HPLC Columns.

Sometimes an acidic or basic condition is required to improve peak shape or sensitivity. Often when negatively charged compounds are analyzed with mass spectrometry, buffers are used to enhance sensitivity. Poor peak shape is caused by metals, particularly iron, and components leaching from an HPLC system or the column hardware.

Medronic acid, a methylene-substituted bisphosphonate, for example, can be used to mitigate these peak shape problems and is compatible with the Cogent TYPE-C™ columns.
